Delegates and the Annual Business Meeting

Each congregation that is certified with the UUA is entitled to one member delegate for every 50 members, and no fewer than two member delegates. Settled ministers and credentialed (master level) religious education directors of certified congregations are also entitled to be delegates. For the complete requirements to serve as a minister delegate, click here Acrobat Reader Required.

If you would like to be a member delegate or you qualify to be a minister delegate for your congregation, talk to your board president/chair. He or she has received materials to name and certify the delegates for your congregation. The certified list of member delegates and the certified list of minister delegates must be returned to the District Administrator by April 16.

Each delegate is allowed one vote at the Annual Business Meeting on Saturday. Delegates will vote in the election of the Trustees at Large and members of the Nominating Committee.
